Cookie Policy

1. Consent categories

• **Essential** — always on. Keeps you signed in, remembers your language, direction, theme and selected business, and protects public share links with rate limiting. The app cannot work without these.
• **Analytics** — off until you allow it. Anonymous usage measurement so we can see which features are used and where the app is slow.
• **Marketing** — off until you allow it. Campaign or remarketing tags. We do not use any today.

No analytics or marketing script is loaded, and no such request is made, until you switch that category on.

2. What we store

• Session storage: keeps you signed in and refreshes your session securely. Without it you would be logged out on every page load.
• Preference storage: remembers your chosen language, text direction, theme and the business you last worked in.
• Consent storage: remembers your cookie choice, so the banner is not shown again.
• Security storage: supports rate limiting and abuse protection on public pages such as shared invoice links.

Most of these are stored in your browser's local storage rather than as traditional cookies, but they are covered here because they serve the same purpose.

3. What we do not use

• No advertising or retargeting cookies.
• No cross-site tracking or data brokering.
• No selling of any browsing information.

4. Third parties

Cookies may also be set by services we depend on: our cloud authentication and database provider (for your session), and, when you use address autocomplete, the map provider that returns address suggestions. These are limited to making those features work.

5. Your choices

Use the **Manage cookie preferences** panel at the bottom of this page to turn analytics and marketing storage on or off at any time. Essential entries cannot be switched off because the app cannot sign you in without them.

6. Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the essential entries will sign you out and reset your preferences, and parts of the app will stop working. Signing out from the app menu clears your session storage on that device.

7. Installed app

If you install SC Khata to your home screen or desktop, the same storage rules apply inside the installed app. Removing the app or clearing its site data removes the stored session and preferences.
