Terms of Service

1. The service

SC Khata is a business ledger and accounting application provided by ScaleVerse. It helps you record ledger entries, customers and suppliers, invoices, payments, expenses, budgets and reports.

2. Free to use

SC Khata is currently free to use. There is no subscription fee and no paid plan. If we ever introduce paid features, existing users will be told in advance and no charge will be made without your explicit consent.

3. Your account

• You must give accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by team members you invite.
• One person should not share a single login; invite team members instead so actions stay auditable.
• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.

4. Your data

Your business records belong to you. We store and process them only to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your records at any time in PDF, CSV or Excel format.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, money laundering or tax evasion.
• Upload malware, or attempt to break, overload or bypass security, rate limits or access controls.
• Access another business's data, or attempt to do so.
• Resell, rent or white-label the service without written permission.
• Upload content you have no right to store or share.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules, and where required, cooperate with lawful requests.

6. Team members and permissions

A business owner controls who is invited and what each member can do. You are responsible for setting appropriate roles, permissions and branch or customer scope, and for removing access when someone leaves.

7. Not professional advice

SC Khata is bookkeeping software, not an accountant, auditor or tax adviser. Reports, totals and tax calculations are generated from the data you enter. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your records and for meeting your own legal, tax and filing obligations.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service running continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, third-party outages or factors outside our control may cause downtime. Keep your own exports of critical records.

9. Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScaleVerse is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using SC Khata at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, or if we need to protect other users or the platform.
